Terms of Service
1. About us
Winnny ("the Service") is a product operated by Bowley Design Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 05762792, with its registered office at Brandon House, First Floor, 90 The Broadway, Chesham, Bucks, HP5 1EG, UK ("we", "us", or "our").
2. Acceptance of terms
By accessing the Service or purchasing a licence, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
3. The Service
Winnny is a web-based tool that lets users log and resurface small personal wins, to build a record of progress and boost motivation over time.
Free users
Free users may use the Service with full core functionality. All data is stored locally in your browser's localStorage — it never leaves your device and we have no access to it.
Pro users
Upon payment of a one-time fee, users are granted a Lifetime Pro licence that enables cross-device sync via encrypted cloud storage. See section 5 for details on how that data is handled.
Delivery
The Service is delivered via browser. No physical product will be shipped.
4. Payments & merchant of record
Our order process is conducted by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all orders.
Contract: When you purchase a licence, your contractual relationship for the transaction is with Lemon Squeezy, subject to their Terms of Service.
Taxes (VAT): Lemon Squeezy handles VAT and sales tax collection and compliance as required by applicable law.
Refund policy: In accordance with applicable consumer protection laws regarding digital content, you may waive your right to a cooling-off period once access begins. However, as a gesture of goodwill, we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee if the software does not function as described.
5. Data & privacy
Free users: Your wins are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. We do not transmit, store, or have any access to this data.
Pro users: Wins are encrypted in your browser using AES-256-GCM before being sent to our cloud storage provider (Supabase). The encryption key is derived from your email address. We and Supabase only ever hold ciphertext — we cannot read your wins.
What we collect: When you sign in, we store your email address and Pro status via Supabase Auth. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.
Analytics: We use Fathom Analytics, a privacy-first tool that does not use cookies or track individuals.
6. User content & responsibility
You retain full ownership of the content you create using Winnny.
Prohibited use: You may not use the Service to store or distribute content that is illegal, hateful, or promotes violence.
7. "Lifetime" definition
A one-time payment grants access to Winnny Pro features for the lifetime of the product — not the lifetime of the user.
If Bowley Design Ltd ceases operations, discontinues the Service, or is acquired, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users, but the Service is not guaranteed to exist indefinitely.
8. Intellectual property
Your content: You own the wins and data you create in Winnny.
Our code: You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Winnny. The software, UI, and underlying logic remain the intellectual property of Bowley Design Ltd.
9. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to the above, Bowley Design Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, business interruption, or loss of profits arising from use of the Service.
10. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
